This piece is part of “The Secret History of the Warrior and the Witch”, a series born from a movie marathon with friends.
Though inspired by “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, the Warrior and the Witch are not drawn from that world, but from the echoes it leaves behind. They are my own creations.
Here, the two are standing on the black pearl looking out at the ocean. The sky behind them is lit green, like it is in the movies when someone is passing over.
These works are as much about the magic we consume as they are about the magic we create – together, in darkened rooms, lit by the glow of adventure.
